Roy H Feinberg

Executive Director

royRoy Feinberg joined Temple Sinai as Executive Director December 2016.  Roy brings 35 years of professional experience in Jewish Communal Service, having served Congregation Rodeph Shalom as Executive Director for 20 years, where he managed all daily operations including facilities management, finances and membership.   Prior to joining Congregation Rodeph Shalom, Roy was Director of Suburban Regions at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia for 13 years.

Roy has served as a Board Member of National Association of Temple Administrators (NATA) where he was awarded The Service to Judaism Award for outstanding commitment and leadership in the field.  Roy also served as a board member of the Camp Harlam Committee of the Union for Reform Judaism  (URJ).

Roy received his Masters in Social Work from Temple University and his Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Mercyhurst University.  He and his wife, Debbie, have been Upper Dublin residents for 30 years and take great pride in their children, Sarah and Jacob, and newest addition, a granddaughter.

Shira Weissbach

Director of Education

shira-wShira has been an educator at Temple Sinai for the past 5 years serving as the Temple Sinai Branch Director of the Jewish Community High School of Gratz College.  In her role with the Jewish Community High School program, Shira has been directing three branches of JCHS, overseeing 200 students and 20 faculty members. Her responsibilities have included evaluating current program offerings, as well as planning and developing new initiatives for JCHS system-wide.

Shira grew up in the Philadelphia region and was an active participant and leader in USY. She earned her undergraduate degrees in History and Jewish Studies at the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree in Jewish Education from Gratz College.

Upon graduating college, Shira joined the staff of Temple Emunah in Lexington, MA, where she ran monthly Shabbat programs for children; created High Holiday programming for grades 2-12; took part in curriculum development; and taught in the religious school.  Additionally, Shira served for 2 years as the congregation's Youth Director, overseeing all youth programs at the synagogue for children in grades 3-12.  She also created and implemented programs in leadership training, religion, and social justice.

Shira and her family - husband, Cobi and children, Rena and Ari reside in Upper Dublin.

Beth Rabinowitz

Early Childhood Education Director

Beth Rabinowitz has been a Director of Early Childhood Education, in the Jewish community, for the last eleven years. She has a Masters’ Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware. Before becoming a Preschool Director she owned and operated a Little Gym Franchise.

Beth has been the National Conference Chair, Board Member and Executive Board Member for the Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism (ECE-RJ) and is a member of DVAEYC and NAEYC. She also completed the LASKO Fellowship and recently received her PA Director’s Credential.

She is married and has two daughters. Samantha is an education major at Penn State University and graduate of Gratz and Upper Dublin High School. Jolie is a student in Upper Dublin School District. She has a cat name Maggie who she considers her third child.

Early childhood has been her passion and advocating for young children and teachers have been her life’s work. Ann Newman Preschool is a loving and warm environment that Beth feels privileged to be a part of.

Hilary Yohlin Waller

Youth & Programming Coordinator

Hilary comes to Temple Sinai with many years experience working in the Jewish community including eight years at Tiferet Beth Israel in Blue Bell where she developed and managed the youth department; designed and taught Hebrew High courses and created and coordinated all aspects of programming aimed at strengthening community among congregants.

Hilary is a native of Upper Dublin. As an undergraduate, she earned degrees from both Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary.  She also has an M.S. degree from Holy Family University where she concentrated in Family and Marital Counseling.  She will soon become a National Certified Counselor.

In her role as Temple Sinai’s YPC, Hilary will oversee and expand our congregation’s youth activities and will be responsible for coordinating much of the programming that takes place in our synagogue.  She will work to develop and implement new programs and offerings, with the goal of increasing participation and affiliation.
