Men’s Club

Rob Chris TSMCTemple Sinai’s Men’s Club, affiliated with the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, is an active arm within the synagogue, providing camaraderie, activities, events, and fellowship for men of all ages.

Whether it is our softball team, our regular Pub Nights, or our monthly bicycle rides, we encourage all of our synagogue members to take part in all we have to offer.

Under Men’s Club’s auspices, our Keruv programs help members deal with the issues encountered by intermarried families and help to make all congregants feel welcome at Temple Sinai.

And our Men-In-The-Kitchen program (among our most popular!), provides affordable catering to families celebrating a simcha within the congregation.

Men’s Club enriches the quality of synagogue life though our programming. We teach members Jewish prayer and ritual at our annual Men’s Club Shabbat. Our Build-A-Pair program and World-Wide Wrap celebrate the mitzvah of tefillin. We provide Yadayim and Tikkunim to Temple Sinai students who learn to read and chant from the Torah in Cantor Freedman’s Yad squad.

Temple Sinai’s Men’s Club supports many synagogue events and activities including our Israel Independence Day Celebration, the Temple Sinai Players, Cantor’s Café, Purim Carnival, Judah Maccabee’s Bingo Jamboree, Israel Scouts Friendship Caravan, Project H.O.P.E., Oy’lympics, College Packages & Boy Scout Troop 665. We even helped fund and design this Web site!

Because of all we do, many of our members have moved on to leadership roles on the Mid-Atlantic Region (MAR) and FJMC boards and we are proud to have regional and International Men’s Club past-presidents who remain active within the local club. As such, we subsidize members’ participation at regional and International retreats and conventions.

All members of the community are welcome to participate in Men’s Club.
