The Brotherhood is our program for 7th – 10th grade boys and is the centerpiece of the Campaign for Jewish Boys, launched by Moving Traditions last year.

The model is called Shevet Achim, small gatherings where a teacher builds ongoing community with a group of young men. Each meeting is filled with both discussions and physical activities.  One recent example was a topic on “power and strength,” which featured an obstacle course and fitness activities.  Another was a discussion topic on “rules,” which was taught as the guys played a basketball game. The response to this program at Temple Sinai has been tremendous, and we are proud to have excellent leaders for each of the grades -- Matthew Kanoff  will lead the 7th graders; Jason Goldberg will take on the 8th graders, the 9th graders will be led by Ami Monson and Gregory Hersh will lead the 10th grade group. If your son is in 7th – 10th grade and has not yet taken advantage of this opportunity, please contact Hilary Waller, our Youth and Programming Coordinator We encourage you to invite other Jewish teen boys in our community affiliated or not elsewhere. Join in and make it a part of your month!
