Want to meet amazing 8th - 12th graders just like you? Come be part of Temple Sinai USY!!

USY is the high school age youth group for Jewish teenagers in grades 8-12. USY is chartered by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism affiliated congregations. USY consists of 17 regions covering the United States and Canada. We are part of Hagesher, which covers Philadelphia and South Jersey. USY is a typical teenage youth group seeking to bring teenagers together around organized activities, to promote learning, fellowship, growth, and responsibility. Goals include instilling a strong sense of Jewish identity, expanding understanding of Conservative Judaism, embracing Jewish education, and encouraging involvement in and beyond the synagogue through involvement in such things as leadership opportunities, social action and Torah. Peer elected officers and chair-persons, under the direction of our USY Advisor, run the chapter by planning events that encourage membership expansion and promote Regional Hagesher activities. Temple Sinai USY organizes diverse social activities such as dances, professional sports events, Tuesday night dinners, Shabbatonim, as well as Regional and International events. We want to create meaningful Jewish experiences both in and out of the synagogue. Our chapter encourages our USYers to take an active role to help grow our teens into young vibrant Jewish leaders in our congregation. Hilary Waller  is the USY Advisor, please contact her at
