Temple Sinai’s Ann Newman Preschool and Infant Center, a staple in the community for over 50 years, offers a comprehensive, developmentally-based program allowing each child to reach his or her individual potential while embracing the values and traditions of Judaism.

Our program, serving children 6 weeks through 5 years, is creative and nurturing, and utilizes theories and practices at the forefront of the field of Early Childhood Education. We work to foster self-confidence, independence, social competence, and readiness skills that provide a strong foundation for success in school and society.  Enhanced programming includes music/movement, science, social studies, Hebrew, math, language arts and cooking as part of our daily activities.

Focusing on the whole-child, we recognize each child’s individuality while supporting his/her development of self-esteem, social confidence and competence, and cognitive and physical skills.

Our comprehensive and developmentally based program reflects the Pennsylvania early childhood state standards and the recommendations of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The program covers all of the essential areas of early childhood learning and academic readiness skills intertwined with a rich introduction to Jewish values and observances.

Our Infant Care Center:

We are very excited to have the opportunity to care for the youngest students at the Ann Newman Preschool and Infant Center. We understand that babies have a vast array of needs but are also learning each and every day. Our goal is to bond with your child but also build a trusting relationship between families and teachers. We are a community that wants the best for your child.

Our teachers have the experience and knowledge necessary to care for baby's diapering and feeding necessities but also developmental needs as well. Each baby has an individual schedule that is prescribed by the parent. We know the schedule will change as the baby grows. Throughout the day our babies will get to experience music, outdoor playtime, story time, Shabbat, and activities that enhance a little ones cognitive, social-emotional and motor skills.

It is important for us to get to know your babies personality through lots of hugs and individualized attention. Our teachers communicate about your babies’ day though Snapfish, daily reports and one on one interaction with the families. We are here for you!

Thank you for entrusting us with the love and care of your child.

The Ann Newman Preschool & Infant Center fosters self-confidence, independence, social competence, and readiness skills that provide children with a strong foundation for success in school and society.

Our faculty partners with families to provide a “home away from home” that embraces the values and traditions of Judaism.

We are an equal opportunity care provider.
